Hefei is a prefecture-level city Chinese city composed of 5 urban districts. This is also the cultural, political, and economic center of Anhui. There is considerable infrastructural renovation in Hefei in recent times.

Hefei experiences extreme summer and winter. Irregular snowfall is common in the months of December and January. Autumn and spring are very pleasant here. Hefei has a high-speed train service, 4 lines of Bus Rapid Transit that serve as common means of transportation for public.

About Anhui Medical University

Anhui Medical University offers 24 directly affiliated teaching units, 10 affiliated hospitals, 42 clinical schools, and 37 teaching hospitals. Coming to medical courses in China, Anhui Medical University offers 29 undergraduate programs (with options), 8 doctoral programs, 5 first-rate-discipline master's programs, 5 professional degree programs, 3 post-doctoral programs, and 64 master's programs.

Jointly built by Anhui Provincial Government, the National Health and Family Planning Commission and the Ministry of Education, Anhui Medical University is presently home to 16000+ MBBS students in China. In the campus, there are many advanced laboratories for practical learning of the students:

2 key laboratories (jointly owned by Ministry of Education and Anhui Province)
13 laboratories (co-established by the Ministry of Finance, China)
19 laboratories for tech and engineering purpose at provincial level

In Anhui Medical University international first-year students mandatorily need to stay at the International Students Building Dormitory. The hostel is an 18-floor building where rooms are available on a twin sharing basis. Students living here get cabinets, public kitchens, and washrooms. Laundry and internet services are available on extra payment. Within the campus, students have easy access to medical facilities, library, auditorium, computer labs, sports arena, playground, cafeteria and laboratory hospital.
