Named after Abu Ali ibn Sino, Bukhara Medical Institute was established in the year 1990 by the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of USSR and aims to expand the scope of medicinal education in Uzbekistan.

There is a hostel and residence facility for international MBBS students in Uzbekistan within the premises of the college. The choices of rooms are - three and two sharing.
